Great Enthusiasm at the 18th Sellaronda Bike Day
Sellaronda, June 8, 2024: The 18th edition of the "Sellaronda Bike Day," the renowned cycling event around the Sella Massif, was successfully held today. A sunny morning with cool temperatures attracted a large number of cycling enthusiasts to this beloved circuit around the Sella Group. Nearly 18,000 participants joined this year, matching the turnout of previous successful editions. Cyclists came from Italy (many from South Tyrol), Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
The organizing committee highlights that this event is made possible through the excellent cooperation between the valleys, the dedication of numerous volunteers, and the support of local and provincial public administrations.
The autumn edition of the "Sellaronda Bike Day" is scheduled for September 7, 2024.
Cyclists will traverse 58 km of paved roads with approximately 1800 meters of elevation gain over the legendary Dolomite passes. This car-free Saturday is eagerly awaited by cycling enthusiasts and is strongly promoted by the tourism associations and public administrations of the four Ladin valleys: Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Val di Fassa, and Arabba/Fodom.
